Nestled against Utah’s majestic Wasatch Mountain Range, the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival attracts the world’s top outdoor adventure filmmakers and attendees for a week-long celebration of mountain culture and impactful storytelling.
A production of Wasatch Mountain Arts, our primary mission is to question and celebrate the human experience through the power of film, and to forge deeper connections with the outdoor community and our natural world.
Alongside our lineup of captivating outdoor adventure films, the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival provides community-focused programs and events focused on educating and inspiring action. These include filmmaker workshops, mentorship programs, a speaker series, early morning coffee talks, local art markets, filmmaker meet-and-greets, community screenings, and more.
The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival was born from the idea that the Wasatch Mountains are home to one of the most incredible mountain communities in the world.
Each year, millions travel from around the globe to experience Utah’s unparalleled access to the mountains. While our community already hosts other world-renowned film festivals, none are focused on showcasing the spectacular outdoor environment that so many of us get to call home.
Through a love of mountain culture and impactful storytelling, we aim to challenge perspectives, spark action, and set the example for what an inclusive and accessible mountain film festival should look like.
Discover inspiring new films, learn from industry experts, and experience the magic of the Wasatch.
